Bardin-Niskala Duo

“2026 WSMTA Conference Guest Artists”

We are excited to welcome the Bardin-Niskala Duo as our conference guest artists, with cellist An-Lin Bardin and pianist Naomi Niskala. The Bardin-Niskala Duo perform mixed programs of new music, commissioned works, and other works that are song-based. Following are two opportunities to work with these wonderful artists!

1) “The Lesson with the Artist”

The 2026 Conference Lesson with the Artist will be with Pianist Naomi Niskala and Cellist An-Lin Bardin. Naomi and An-Lin will be working with successful applicants in a workshop setting.

Both collaborative and solo musicians are encouraged to apply.

Applications are accepted until March 31, 2026.
Lesson with the Artist will take place on Monday, June 29, 2026 at 1:00 pm. at Central Washington University in Ellensburg.

Applicants will be informed if they are selected by April 15, 2026.

2) “Works in Progress”

The 2026 Conference Works in Progress will be with Pianist Naomi Niskala and Cellist An-Lin Bardin.

This workshop is for compositions for Cello and Piano that are either Works in Progress or finished compositions. Applicants will submit a composition to work on with the Duo.

Both Students and Teachers are encouraged to submit their compositions!

Applications are accepted until March 31, 2026.
Works in Progress will take place on Sunday, June 28, 2026 at 4:00 pm. at Central Washington University in Ellensburg.

Applicants will be informed if they are selected by April 15, 2026.
