More Music Collegiate Student Performance Sessions

WSMTA invites graduate and undergraduate students to submit proposals for brief performances to be presented at the 2026 WSMTA Conference.

What: Performance or presentation time slots of 10 and 15 minutes duration
Who: Collegiate graduate and undergraduate students
When: June 27-29, 2026 at Central Washington University, Ellensburg, WA
How: Submit proposals (click button below) by April 15, 2026.

Questions: Please contact More Music Sessions Chair Dr. Jeffrey Snedeker at [email protected].

Graduate students may apply for More Music performance time slots of up to 15 minutes. A mix of performing and speaking is encouraged, but the emphasis should be on the performance within the prescribed session timing—a minimum would be a brief introduction of the piece. Recently performed recital pieces are especially welcome. Presentations of complete works as well as excerpts of larger works are equally valued. Performances of under-represented recital repertoire, composers, and/or styles are especially encouraged.

Undergraduate students may apply for More Music performance time slots of up to 10 minutes with similar characteristics as the graduate students.

Chamber ensembles of up to eight members (any instrumentation, any combination of collegiate levels) are also strongly encouraged to apply.

• Students and references do not have to be MTNA/WSMTA members.
• Students are asked to submit their reference letter with their application (pdf uploaded with form).
Students whose proposals are accepted will receive free daily registration for the day they perform.
